Exciting News!

On Friday I had a meeting with the UK MD of Kuretake - Mr Osaki, in Redditch. Wow, what a day! Myself and another lady had been invited to talk about becoming Product Promotors/ Demonstrators. WE will be paid to do shows, demos and workshops that they organise, as well as organising demos, workshops and parties ourselves, on a S/E basis. We were allowed to take as much of their products as we thought we'd be able to demonstrate - I had 3 bulging carrier bags and a box full!

For me, I feel this is my ideal job. All I need to do now is investigate how to go about becoming self employed and go for it!

I've been very busy the past few evenings - crafting til the wee small hours!

You see, on Thursday we woke up to find everything under a beautiful blanket of fresh white snow. School was cancelled, so as soon as Ruth, Alex and I had had breakfast it was out to play in it! We made a couple of (very little!) snowmen, and had a mini snowball fight. I could have stayed out all day, but they were getting cold, so we had to go in after about an hour.

Later in the afternoon we walked up to the shops to buy some food essentials as taking the car wasn't an option - there were several inches of snow everywhere and it was beautiful! We didn't expect the snow to last the night, so made the most of it, and I took lots of photos!

We woke up the next morning and the snow was still there! School was cancelled again, and as it had been the last day of term, it was now half term holiday! Great for the kids, but leaving me no time to make Ruth's Love and Fairy mini books, and birthday card! Panic!!!!

Ruth and I walked to the post office in the afternoon. By lunch time it had started snowing really heavily again, and we walked back across the football fiend and there was 6 inches in places. We pretended it was a polar expedition, and she was really happy and cheerful - not normally like that when she has to walk anywhere!

On Saturday I couldn't get to the crop I was desperate to go to as the roads here were still too dangerous. In the afternoon, Ruth and I walked through the fields of slushy snow to town to get the last of her birthday presents. It took an hour although its only about a mile, as our feet were sliding all over the place. Her feet got wet and we couldn't find wellys in her size anywhere, but we got the bus home, and Granny and Uncle David were on it too, so that cheered her up!

Back to the craft board now!

I've actually done some crafting!

I know, it may come as a bit of a shck, but I actually managed to finish something! Its an entry for a circle journal, and the theme was 'my faviourite time of year'. Maybe its because I was born in winter, but I LOVE SNOW! The scan hasn't come out brilliantly, as the photo and text are printed onto acetate. It gives a beautiful frosty effect in real life, but doesn't show very well in the scan! Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I have a lot of things I need to finish before my partners operation a week on Wednesday, as once that's happened, he'll have 6 weeks off work, so I'll have no space or time to myself.

Ruth is still ill, although we're hoping this 2nd lot of anti-biotics will clear up the tonsillitis. If she's well enough, I think she'll be back at school tomorrow. She needs it really. She has had 6 days off school so far, plus 2 weekends. Poor thing has been ill for 9 days.

Hello!

This is a place for me to come and share my thoughts and crafted items.

Its a way for me to see how my items develope over the coming months. I hope to start working in the crafting industry this year, so this is a good way for me to keep to that, and not let the year go by and find I haven't moved forward at all.

I am 26 now after all!
